We want you to be happy with every course you buy on Rootlet. This policy explains your legal rights and our own refund guarantee. Nothing in it affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content such as online courses, this right ends once you start accessing the content, provided you agreed to immediate access and acknowledged that you would lose your right to cancel.
When you buy a course on Rootlet, you ask us to give you immediate access, and you agree that your legal right to cancel ends once you start the course. If you have not yet started the course, you can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.
Even after you have started a course, we offer a voluntary refund guarantee. You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, as long as you have completed less than 30% of the course.
To protect our instructors, we may refuse refunds where we see signs of abuse, such as repeated purchase-and-refund activity or downloading course resources before requesting a refund.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a course is faulty (for example, lessons or videos will not load or the content is materially different from its description), please tell us. We will try to fix it or provide a replacement, and if we cannot do so within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a refund or price reduction. This applies regardless of how much of the course you have completed or when you bought it.
Email support@rootlet.co.uk with your account email address, the course name and the reason for your request. We will reply within 5 working days.
Approved refunds are paid back to your original payment method within 14 days of approval. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take a few extra days to appear. Once a course is refunded, your access to it ends.
