Feeling stuck in work that no longer fits, but not sure what else you could do or how to get there? This course shows you, step by step, how to plan a realistic career change: understanding what you want, exploring and trying out options, budgeting for the move, filling the gaps and telling your story so employers see what you can bring.
It's a full course, not a list of tips. There are 10 sections and 50 written lessons, each with a practical task. You follow a secondary school teacher in Suffolk through nine months of 2026 as she moves into a new career in learning design, with every exercise, conversation, application and decision along the way, including the mistakes. Every section has a worksheet, model answers, a cheat sheet and ready-to-use templates and tools.
You'll put together your own career change plan: your direction and evidence, your story and materials, and an action timeline with steps, dates, budget and support for the next six months. A project brief, a plan workbook and a self-review checklist are included.
Read each lesson, then do the practical task using the templates and tools in the practice pack. Go at your own pace: many people work through the course alongside their current job. You keep lifetime access, so you can come back at each stage of your move.
