Course description

Year 6 SATs Maths turns the Key Stage 2 maths tests into nine friendly missions. Children aged 10 to 11 learn the arithmetic and reasoning skills from the Year 6 National Curriculum step by step, with short lessons written just for them, games to practise each skill, a quick quiz at the end of each mission and a printable worksheet with answers for grown-ups.

What's inside

  • 28 short lessons (about 10 minutes each) covering place value, rounding and negative numbers, column addition and subtraction, short and long multiplication, short and long division, fractions, decimals and percentages, order of operations, ratio, algebra, measures, area, volume, angles and the mean.
  • 11 games built for Rootlet Kids: quick-fire calculation challenges, fraction matching and angle sorting, including a mega mission that mixes every topic.
  • 9 five-question quizzes and 9 printable worksheets, each with an answer sheet for grown-ups.
  • A clear plan for reasoning problems, tips for the arithmetic paper, and test week tips for staying calm.

Practice in the style of the SATs

The questions are practice questions written by Rootlet in the style of the Key Stage 2 maths papers: one arithmetic paper and two reasoning papers, with no calculator. They are not real SATs papers.

Safe by design

Grown-ups hold the account and log in for their child. There's no chat, no comments, no adverts and no tracking in kids lessons or games, and we never ask for a child's name or details. Game stars are saved only on the device being used.
